Tobias spent 15 years in the technology sector then over 20 years working as a CEO across multiple mid-market private equity and privately held companies in the business services and human capital space.
He has completed multiple acquisitions, refinances and exits. The largest company Tobias ran culminated with annual revenues of over $1.3bn through organic growth, mergers and acquisitions. He has experience of operating globally in over 30 countries and managing over 4,000 staff.
In 2020 Tobias founded AQRA Group, a company focused on executive headhunting and buy-side sourcing for the private equity market. As Chairman of AQRA Group, Tobias focuses exclusively on the buy-side for private equity as this is where his passion lies.
As a tenured C-suite executive, entrepreneur, buyer, seller and an owner, Tobias is uniquely positioned to understand and engage with the motivations of the private equity market and the potential sellers.
Tobias is originally from the UK but now lives in Texas with his wife Angelica. Tobias received a B.Eng from Nottingham University then an MBA from London Business School. In his spare time, Tobias is an avid cyclist.

Tom is a Research Analyst and Search Specialist at AQRA. He is responsible for acquisition searches for AQRA's Private Equity Clients.
Prior to forming AQRA Group, Tom specialized in Executive Search in the Technology & Engineering Markets. Tom's expertise lies in utilizing various leading edge technology tools to keep AQRA at the forefront of search and analysis of target markets and companies.
Tom received a B.A In Business from Loughborough University, then completed an MBA in Tennessee with a full soccer scholarship before helping form AQRA Group.
Tom’s passion is soccer: playing, watching, coaching or discussing, and is a committed supporter of Chelsea FC. He played for the first teams at both Loughborough and in Tennessee. Tom still plays soccer at a semi-professional level.
